Yesterday a local guide Danijela spent a pleasant two hours in the Old Town hanging out with a group of young travelers from Great Britain.

During the 16th century in Mostar, in the Čaršija (carshiya ) there were more than 30 various types of crafts. They were predominantly grouped into esnafi (Turkish word for “guildsâ€) or guilds, which were arranged according to the types of professions after which even the streets (carshiyas) were named, bearing the features of distinct carshiyas.
Women from this part of Europe have always been known for their distinct beauty. Most of the visitors, who come to Mostar, can be often heard saying that the women from Mostar, our Mostarke, are among the most beautiful ones they have seen.
