The Old Bridge is the most magnificent monument of time in Mostar and it has become the worldwide known symbol of Mostar but that is not all that this city has to offer.
Bosnian dishes are similar to dishes from Turkey, Greece and other Mediterranean cuisines. Due to prolonged Austro-Hungarian administration, there are also influences of Central European cuisine.

Through the history the whole region of Bosnia and Herzegovina was under several cultural influences which created a unique blend of differences.
The Austro-Hungarian Monarchy began their rule over Bosnia and Herzegovina after the occupation of the country in 1878, and the rule ended during the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, in November 1918. That year Bosnia and Herzegovina finally terminated all the snaps with that empire.
